Tomas had been jumping for a while and had reached the point most licensed skydivers know: every jump felt the same, and none of them felt like progress. He did not need another course. He needed someone to ask him what he was actually working on.
A day around one task
“We agreed one goal in the morning and did not change it. Video in the afternoon, and the debrief was about that goal only. It was the first time I had watched my own jump without excuses.”
What changed after
“I still jump with my friends. The difference is that I now know what I am doing on each jump, and I can say it out loud.” For Andrew, the coaching day is not a service that ends at the landing area; it is a way of jumping the student takes home.
Tomas came back for another coaching block with a new goal written down before he arrived.
