Ana completed her AFF stages abroad, moved cities, and two seasons went by without a jump. Coming back felt like starting over, and that was what she was afraid of. The first conversation with Andrew was not about jumps at all; it was about what she remembered and what she did not.
An honest starting point
“He asked me to fly the exit on the ground, and I could not. That was fine. It meant the first days were about that, and nothing else. I was not behind. I was where I was.”
The progression
“Each day had one task and one debrief. The canopy days were the ones I underestimated — landing where you meant to is a skill, not luck.” The school’s method, in Ana’s words, is patience with a direction.
She finished the route with her licence requirements done and a habit she keeps: writing the next task down before leaving the airfield.
